Missing the "Remember my password" Checkbox with Outlook 2007
I have XP on my work computer, with office 2007. When I FIRST configured outlook to connect to our exchange server, it had the check box "Remember my password". Which worked BEAUTIFULLY. Outlook never prompted me to login, as I'm the only one on this computer at any time, I lock the computer and unlock it everyday so I wasnt worried about an outlook password(that and as I am one of the admins I can do just about anything that needs to be done regarding that) However, I recently changed my password via the ADUAC on the exchange server itself. After I had done that,XP does not prompt me to remember my Outlook password, and it doesnt even display the checkbox to have it remember the password. Is there any way to force windows to display that box? I've spent literally hours today looking up information and finding nothing that has worked. 1. I have tried to delete the profile from outlook, remove all the app data, and local settings folders, uninstalled and reinstalled office. 2.Loaded TweakUI looked through options there, nothing. 3.Tried to control userpasswords2, which to my understanding the advanced portion should have even showed me the loginsI have currently saved for the 3 NAS drives I have mapped to my computer. It shows me no saved passwords, and no option to even add anything through this window. 4. I have also tried to use the guide listed at http://support.microsoft.com/?id=290684to try and solve the issue, but so far, nothing has prevailed. If anybody could give me any feedback, or any pointers into the right direction as to what the cause and or fix might be I would be EXTREMELY grateful.

Hi, I understand that the Remember my password checkbox didnt appear after resetting the password of the account by using ADUAC. Before going on, I would like to confirm whether the domain account of the Operating System was the same account of the Outlook. If so, please understand that is by design. Since the account of the Outlook is integrated with the domain account and we have already logged on the Operating System, the password will not be inputted even though the password has been reset. The follow scenario can results in the Remember my password checkbox come up: 1. When the logon account of the system is not the same as the Outlook profile. 2. When you create different Outlook profile on the same computer. Thanks Allen
